 finalllyyy made it to the beautiful city of dc! i’m very excited about the conference, but i’ll be totally honest–i don’t know much about journalism or the media. yeah, i keep up with the news, but i don’t actually study the topic…i’m here to learn more. i do love to write, though. plus, how can i turn this down? college credit and a chance to meet new people.

oh, and definitely never blogged before. gotta start sometime, right?

so a little info about me:

from lorena, texas. small town in the middle of austin and dallas. no, i don’t ride horses to school. yes, i was asked this before. i’m 17. i have a passion for people. i think people are the most complex and interesting things on this earth, and i love knowing the whos and the whats and the whys about people. i’m considering majoring in psychology, and you’re thinkin, duh. my favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice, and my favorite book is The Awakening. my favorite poet is sylvia plath, but i also love Birthday Letters by her husband, Ted Hughes.
